Dr. Kuppers has been delivering quality care and setting the standard for orthodontic excellence in Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding community since 1996.

Dr. Kuppers is an orthodontic specialist. At Kuppers + Greene Orthodontics, we’re experts at what we do and we are not afraid to say it! Our team is uniquely dedicated to orthodontics. It’s our specialty!

Dr. Kuppers is passionate about creating "more than just straight teeth.” He has extensively studied what makes a smile beautiful and how to achieve this using methods taught to him by many of the world's best orthodontists.

This passion is now being shared with Dr. Michael Greene. Together, they are committed to transforming smiles and to help each and every patient to achieve the goal of “LIVE YOUR LIFE SMILING!™”

When he is not working or studying, Dr. Kuppers enjoys spending his time with friends and his constant companion and endless source of amusement - his French Bulldog “Louie.” His hobbies include traveling, gourmet cooking, photography, and staying active.

Accreditation

Dr. Kuppers graduated from the University of Western Ontario as a general dentist in 1988. As a native of Kitchener-Waterloo, he returned to this community where he successfully practiced family dentistry for more than 5 years.

In 1993, his passion for academics and desire for professional development led him back to the University of Western Ontario, to pursue an Orthodontic specialty. In 1996, Dr. Kuppers graduated with a Master’s Degree in orthodontics and once again returned home to service the community he valued most.

Professional Development

Dr. Kuppers prides himself on staying current with what’s new in orthodontics; attending professional seminars, courses and conferences. Dr. Kuppers has been a member and co-leader of the local Spear Education Study Club and is now embarking on a new 2 year learning adventure after being accepted into the prestigious Pitts Orthodontic Masters Continuum. Community Outreach

As a long-time resident of Kitchener-Waterloo and a proud member of the community, Dr. Kuppers and Dr. Greene love to give back.

• Kuppers + Greene Orthodontics offers scholarships to local Waterloo high schools for students who excel in Biology and hope to continue their post-secondary education in the dental field.

• Kuppers + Greene Orthodontics offers complimentary family swims and public skating throughout the year at Waterloo Memorial Recreation Swimplex, Manulife Sportsplex and Albert McCormick Community Centre.

• Kuppers + Greene Orthodontics supports The Food Bank of Waterloo Region and the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society

• Dr. Kuppers and Dr. Greene proudly fund raise and support Scotsland’s Yard, a local hospital charity to raise funds to build a children’s cancer centre right here in our community.

About Dr. Greene

Brantford, Ontario

Born and raised in the neighbouring city of Brantford, I enjoyed mountain biking along the Grand River and playing recreational basketball and baseball.

University of Guelph

I completed my undergraduate degree in Bio-medical Science (2004). My love for education was fostered in Guelph where I also met my wife Jennifer. I have fond memories of my time in Guelph and often take my family for ice-cream near the Speed River or to community events held on campus in order to stay connected.

University of Ottawa

I completed a Masters of Science in Cellular & Molecular Medicine at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (2006). In Ottawa, I learned the amount of dedication and sacrifice it would take to move forward in my education. I have great memories of skating on the Rideau canal and going to the market downtown. However, my greatest memory is of marrying my wonderful wife Jennifer during this time.

University of Manitoba

I studied dentistry in Winnipeg and graduated in 2011. Yes, there is a reason that they call it “Winter-peg”! However, my wife and I have fond memories of great restaurants, beautiful summers, and lifelong friends. Our greatest memory of Winnipeg was the birth of our daughter, London.

Canadian Armed Forces

During my dental studies, I enrolled as a Dental Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). As a Captain, I was posted to Petawawa and Ottawa following dental school where I served by providing dental care to our military members and their families. There is a real sense of community within the CAF and I feel privileged to have worked alongside some of the most selfless and dedicated members of our society.

Western University

I was ecstatic to receive my orthodontic training in London, Ontario (2018). I feel that it was the greatest three years of my academic life and led me to meet my mentor and business partner, Dr. Kuppers.

Royal College of Dentists of Canada

Upon completion of my orthodontic studies, I also successfully challenged the Canadian National Specialty Exam to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

Kuppers + Greene Orthodontics

I met Dr. Kuppers at Western University as one of my clinical instructors. Well known for his outstanding clinical skill and positive personality, I always believed that working with Dr. Kuppers would be an amazing opportunity. Life has a way of making dreams come true, as I was fortunate to partner with Dr. Kuppers and make the K-W area the home for my family. I feel so lucky to settle my family in this great city and form roots while we begin this next journey in life!
